Lessons and Camps
Skate Better and Safer

Lessons and Instructional Camps:
Lessons and Camps are conducted by Clifton Skatezone Trainers that are specialist in the
course skills that they are teaching. Instructional classes are one hour long, for a total of 6
weeks. Classes are conducted throughout the year. Instructional camps are conducted for one week
straight for a morning or afternoon session twice a year. Check
here, or pick up a schedule for upcoming classes and camps being conducted.
Registering:
All participants must pre-register with the Clifton Recreation Department. Registration can be
conducted through the mail, walk in or after hours drop off at the Clifton
Recreation Office, 900 Clifton Avenue, Clifton, New Jersey 07013. Office hours are
Mondays from 8:15 a.m. — 7:00 p.m. and Tuesday through Friday from
8:15 a.m. — 5:00 p.m. Registration is on a first come, first served basis so early registration
is strongly recommended. Program fees must be paid at the time of registration

participants should attend the first class as scheduled — confirmations will not be mailed to you.
Refund Policy and Program Cancellation:
If a class is full or cancelled by the Recreation Department, a full refund will
be issued. If a participant is requesting to drop out of a program, they must
submit the request in writing three business days before the program begins, a $5.00
service charge will be issued. Refunds will not be issued once the program
begins. The Recreation Department reserves the right to cancel or reschedule
any program due to insufficient registration or other causes, which may affect
the health, safety or welfare of the program participants. Every effort will be
made to notify registrants of program cancellation. If schools are closed due
to inclement weather, all daytime programs will be canceled until 5:00 p.m. The decision to
conduct evening programs will be made by 3:30 pm. To find out the status of evening programs
